Transfrom Salone was founded by four like minded friends with a heart for Sierra Leone.
We had all previously spent time volunteering in Sierra Leone and got together to form Transform Salone in 2014.
Transform Salone was granted charitable status in England and Wales in July 2015.
Alison first visited Sierra Leone in 2006 on a 2 week mission trip, she fell in love with the country and its people and now runs the Transform Salone projects there while making occasional visits to the UK to spend time with family and raise awareness of Transform Salone’s work.
Ronnie runs his own executive coaching and management consultancy business and is a fellow of the chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity.
He likes nothing better than leading teams of volunteers to work on community development projects building schools, clinics and houses in developing countries. He has worked in Sierra Leone, Brazil, Moldova, Sri Lanka and the Dominican Republic.
Stephi first became involved in Africa after volunteering on a building project in Zambia. She followed this by several visits to volunteer in Sierra Leone, loving its friendly people, beautiful landscapes and its developing infrastructure.
Before becoming a trustee with Transform Salone Stephi provided educational sponsorship for seven teenagers who have now successfully graduated from educational and vocational training. Married with four grown up children she works in the family building and development business.
Adele ia a 72 year old grandmother and is proud to be called Granny Granny by those who know her. Having first gone to Sierra Leone in 2008 she fell in love with the beautiful and proud people and their country.
Adele feels privileged to be a part of Tranform Salone and serve the people she has grown to love.
